Discover the secrets to achieving stunning, voluminous hair effortlessly.

Elevate Your Hair Game: Mastering Volume

Dreaming of lush, voluminous hair? Whether you have fine, flat strands or just want to add extra oomph to your locks, we’ve got you covered! Here are our top tips and tricks to help you achieve the full-bodied hair you’ve always wanted.

Choose the Right Products

Start with a volumizing shampoo and conditioner that’s lightweight and won’t weigh your hair down. Look for products containing ingredients like biotin, keratin, and collagen that boost volume and thickness.

Prep with Mousse or Root Lift Spray

After washing your hair, apply a volumizing mousse or root lift spray to damp hair. Focus on the roots for maximum lift. These products add texture and hold, giving your hair the foundation it needs for volume.

Blow-Dry Upside Down

Flip your head upside down while blow-drying your hair. This technique helps lift the roots away from your scalp, creating natural volume. Use a round brush to lift sections at the crown for extra height.

Use Velcro Rollers

After blow-drying, set your hair with Velcro rollers. Roll sections of your hair away from your face and secure them at the roots. Leave the rollers in for about 20 minutes, then gently remove them for bouncy, voluminous curls.

Cushion Your Roots

For added volume, use a finishing brush to gently cushion your roots. Lift small sections of hair at the crown and using a C-like motion, softly push the hair towards the scalp. Smooth the top layer of hair over the teased sections for a polished look. This is very different from teasing your roots and will prevent breakage as you’re not knotting the hair.

Finish with a Light-Hold Hairspray

To maintain your voluminous style all day, finish with a light-hold hairspray. Hold the can about 12 inches away from your hair and mist lightly. This will keep your volume intact without making your hair stiff or crunchy.

Tips & Tricks:

  • Avoid Overloading on Products: Too much product can weigh your hair down. Use just enough to achieve the desired effect.

  • Regular Trims: Keep your hair healthy and prevent split ends by getting regular trims. Healthy hair naturally looks fuller and more voluminous.

  • Experiment with Hairstyles: Try different styles like loose waves, braids, or high ponytails to add instant volume and texture to your hair.
